Why psychotherapy for children
Childhood is the vital stage in which the future adult is built. That is why it is a particularly delicate stage of life, as it will shape the whole development of each individual and will reflect in every aspect or their adult life. If a child develops emotional difficulties, or a psychopathological disorder, they are much more likely to develop it during adolescence or early adulthood.
I provide psychotherapy for children of up to 12 years of age. Counselling for your child’s behavior is developed through play and drawing, and is recommended when the child experiences any type of emotional distress or symptoms of psychopathological disorders.

- Emotional support in grieving processes, such as the separation of parents.

- Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
- Complex Trauma.
- Attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity (ADD and ADDH).
My counselling sessions for your child
Psychotherapy for children I provide includes sessions with parents, as it is necessary to involve them in the child’s treatment for it to be successful. I will provide you with child development skills in the follow-up sessions, including advice and tools to understand your child’s difficulties and help you create a healthier and more secure bonding with him or her. This is an important area, since it can enhance the improvement of symptoms, and prevent future development of mental disorders.
Child psychotherapy sessions last one hour and cost €60. Although both in person and online sessions are offered, the in-person form is recommended.
